You become part of the High Volume Pumps Software department. We are a global, virtual department consisting of 12 highly qualified Danish and Chinese software developers, who are responsible for delivering firmware for our High Volume pumps. We work as a SCRUM team and focus on accomplishing all our sprint goals, which maintain a strong focus on automated tests. You refer to Department Head, Martin Byskov Skafsgaard. “Each team member takes responsibility for the daily planning, and we have fun – without losing focus and while keeping a high team spirit. We are meticulous when it comes to quality, and use our application knowledge to challenge specifications and create even better firmware. When it creates value for the customer, we are successful in our development,” Martin explains. What is the job about? As Software Delivery Responsible, you will be the primary interface between the Software team and a project, influencing how the daily work is organised in an agile development framework. You are responsible for a project, securing clear goals, agreements with stakeholders, creating a plan (project backlog, facilitate estimation, network diagram, etc.). Moreover, you continuously follow up on progress for milestones to make the progress transparent. As your new department is responsible for development of embedded application software for products, reliability and delivery on time is very important – and in your daily work, you will be a part of a SCRUM team where you will also focus on development tasks. “We have a strong focus on keeping our word, so once a plan has been made, we need to be able to deliver high quality within the agreed time frame, as customers and other stakeholders depend on us. Our plans need to be ambitious and your challenge is to keep it that way and ensure commitment from the team” Martin says. What do you need to apply? You have experience in software project management and are skilled in applying embedded software in all phases of a development process. Furthermore, you have experience from a SCRUM Master role. It is an advantage, but not a prerequisite, if you have experience with Software Process Improvement (SPI) and TDD. You speak and write English fluently. “You have a strong sense of ownership but are also able to delegate, and you get things done, keeping a close eye on detail and quality. You like to work in a virtual team where the software deliveries are developed through teamwork. And you have the will to understand the applications and products, to deliver the best solution to customer. Finally, you are structured and like to document your own work,” Martin finishes.
