Explore the newest technologies
Within the Manufacturing and Supply Chain division in Billund, which is part of our Business Technologies department, we have a newly established technology incubation function. This function, consisting of 4 colleagues, is responsible for exploring and applying new technology to support the optimisation of processes and solve challenges throughout the global supply chain.
You will:
• Communicate with internal stakeholders – our ‘customers’ – to understand challenges and business needs
• Explore new technology whilst gathering and documenting insights
• Partake in decision-making within the team to evaluate technology applicability and business value for the LEGO Group
• Develop prototypes and pilots in line with the LEGO® technology direction, standard development practices and design principles in collaboration with end users, user experience consultants and IT product teams
• Collaborate with other engineers, solution architects and external partners on technology development, implementation, testing and securing customer value throughout the process

This is a highly independent role as you will spearhead our exploration processes. Therefore, you will have room to explore new exciting technology, such as the Internet of Things, and share your insights with the rest of the team and the organisation. We trust you to bring forth solutions for business challenges and needs and help us fulfil our mission of optimising the entire supply chain that spans the globe.
Back-end or full stack developer with a curious and dedicated mindset
With your natural curiosity, you are driven to understand all aspects of the supply chain and seek out any new technological concepts and solutions that may provide business value. You also bring an innate ear for the customers’ voice, enabling you to quickly internalise needs and search out solutions that fulfil these.
You also bring:
• 2+ years’ experience with back-end or full stack software development using Node.js, Python or the like
• Solid experience working with PaaS such as Amazon Web Services or other cloud computing services
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
• The ability to travel 10-20 days per year to meet with international business units
• Fluent communication skills in English
• Preferably, knowledge of manufacturing processes, user research and interface design – though it is not a prerequisite
