For our IT department in Aarhus, Ubsend is looking for an innovative and ambitious Software and Web Developer to ensure the best in-house IT solutions.

Who is Ubsend?
Ubsend is a fairly new company specializing in ensuring the best options within transportation primarily. We make sure that big as well as small clients are always provided with the ideal option for their specific shipment in terms of company, time and price. We strive to be the leading integration platform and are already in growth, working with several B2B and B2C clients. We are an international company and currently employ around 60 people across our offices in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Berlin, Amsterdam and Birmingham.

The department
As the new Software Developer, you will become part of our IT department, which is made up of three smaller teams located in Aarhus, Amsterdam and Berlin. The department is responsible for developing our applications and integrations, and here you will, among other interesting projects, be working on developing:

  • A new platform combining trade, transport, payments and insurance
  • An enterprise service bus and other tech alike
  • Integrations
  • A master data tool to handle prices.

We make scalable solutions with a generic approach, but we also have a pragmatic mind-set. In our development process, we try to develop our solutions with an object-oriented approach and utilizing software patterns when relevant. We strive to make the best solutions, while having fun in an informal environment. We use Scrum methodologies and we apply test-driven development and domain-driven development approaches.

The position
Your main task will be to develop state-of-the-art applications to create a solid and smooth foundation for operations. You will primarily be working with Microsoft Azure as the infrastructure platform. You will be handed a great deal of responsibility and the opportunity to implement your own ideas in an environment where teamwork is highly valued.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Developing applications and APIs
  • Designing solutions in collaboration with IT colleagues and the business
  • Handling contact of technical nature to IT suppliers
  • Providing technical support internally as well as externally
  • Testing your newly developed applications
  • Documenting solutions
  • Upgrading legacy systems.

Qualifications:
IT background with focus on software and/or web development

  • At least 3 years of experienced in C#, since this is our primary programming language - for web development, we use ASP.NET Core
  • Experience working with databases - MS SQL DB and Entity Framework core
  • Experience with APIs of any kind
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure as a platform
  • Experience with or knowledge of Rabbit MQ
  • Experience with SOA and microservice
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
