Do you wish to see your designs being realised in future high quality embedded products? We are looking for an experienced Software Functional Safety Architect to lead development of platform and product architecture to match our future functional safety requirements. You will become part of a global team of software architects, who coordinate Danfoss Power Electronics’ (PE) platform and product architecture. As the job is international, 20-30 travel days per year can be expected. Technical decision maker in functional safety You will play a key role in creating the future reference architecture for the Danfoss PE products. You will also act as the final technical decision maker in all functional safety SW-related topics in cooperation with other architects. (har vi en standard tekst om PE? The main areas of responsibility are: •Make technical decisions on how to design platform and product architecture so that they comply with international functional safety standards (UL, SIL, TS) •Coach software engineers in functional safety-related tasks and topics •Take part in design of system architecture together with other disciplines to design optimal system level implementation of the safety functions •Guide development and testing teams •Participate in creating the future reference architecture for the Danfoss PE and make the right tradeoffs between cost, risk, performance and other quality attributes while ensuring the fulfillment of the functional safety requirements •Manage and participate in collaboration projects between academia and industry in the European setting Technically strong profile with communication skills You are a good communicator with an ability to interact with people of different cultural backgrounds. You are expected to have a relevant master’s degree. If you hold a PhD in functional safety, it will be an advantage. You are required to have previous experience in designing embedded software systems for functional safety and interacting with certification bodies. Having previous experience managing complex international co-operation projects is an advantage for this position.
