Solution Engineer to deliver great digital experiences

In Merchant Services, we build great payment solutions for our customers, from the corner shop to large retail chains. We ensure smooth customer journeys from sign-up to daily operations and value-adding services.

We need to strengthen our local team with new talent within the Java ecosystem and related technology landscape. We can namedrop buzzwords and acronyms as well as anybody, but instead of haphazardly chasing the next “big thing”, we make a judicious evaluation before bringing on yet another concept/paradigm/technology. This has led us to employ a Microservice architecture running on OpenShift, adhering to the principles of continuous delivery, and a tech-toolbox consisting of the Spring ecosystem for backend and Angular for frontend development. We have agile coaches supporting our teams' continuous efforts to improve, and we expect that you are agile by heart and eager to teach and learn. 

As a solution engineer, you will work closely with your Scrum team and take responsibility for your solutions, from defining the right architecture to implementation and ongoing improvements based on user feedback and business opportunities. You will also be part of a strong local team of likeminded colleagues, with whom you will evolve our strategy and link solutions and architecture to business objectives.

Since the development teams are located remotely, you must be comfortable working in a setup, where voice and videocalls are parts of a usual working day.

We do however believe in being full stack aware, and since you’ll be working with a feature team, we also expect you to bring that level of insight and knowledge.
 

Your professional qualifications and background should include:

• Higher education in computer science
• Proven experience in building intuitive digital experiences
• Software craftsmanship with solid background in Java-based technologies and scalable architectures.
• Agile at heart, promoting automation, CI/CD, and continuous learning.
