Portfolio Management drives the strategic execution by managing and consolidating the project portfolio in accordance with the strategic direction in Vestas Power Solutions. This includes facilitating project budget alignment, managing the overall project portfolio in the different sub-portfolios in Vestas Power Solutions against the budget, optimising the resource capacity, as well as facilitating performance reviews. In addition, the department drives the development of performance KPIs for the business unit.

Portfolio Management is a part of the overall Strategy & Development department - a strategic function with direct reference to the Chief Technology Officer. Our primary responsibility is to strengthen strategy development, strategy deployment and strategy execution within Vestas Power Solutions. A very central focus area of the team is to execute and fulfill Vestas' business strategy by aligning and deploying strategic initiatives as well as monitor and follow up on execution to enable accomplishment of the company's vision and mission.

Responsibilities

Support the Product Portfolio Master plan
Collect plans from different areas in the value chain including checking and challenging the data
Support portfolio planning and review of relevant sub-portfolios
Manage timing and resource utilisation including capacity forecasting
Create analyses and report status to relevant stakeholders on a monthly basis
Provide support and reporting to various management groups in relation to the portfolio overview

Qualifications

Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree within Finance, Business Management, Economics and Business Administration, or other relevant educational background and at least 5 years of experience working with product development and/or manufacturing in a large international company
Have documented experience in working with integrated projects in a matrix organisation with multi-disciplinary teams
3-5 years of experience with Portfolio Planning and Project Management
High level of experience with MS project, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

As a person, you are a strong communicator who can target different audiences in the organisation and you have good leadership skills. In addition, we expect that you have the following competencies:

System understanding (SAP PPM, MS project or the like)
Business understanding including understanding of the value chain (sales, technology development production, IT)
Good project and stakeholder management skills
Structured and analytical as well as driven and focused
Collaborative - easy to work with and a strong team player
Accountable and taking responsibility for own area
A strong starter and closer - goal-oriented with a simplistic approach to solving tasks
Courageous and curious - not afraid of bringing the issues on the table
