Job Overview Lloyd’s Register EMEA, as part of the Lloyds Register Group, is a premier independent classification society with global coverage. We are now seeking a new colleague to carry out Statutory and Class Approvals in our office in Hellerup, Copenhagen. Job Responsibilities To carry out Statutory and Class approvals related to MARPOL and Ballast Water Management aspects of both new construction and conversions for ship types like; Tankers, Conventional Cargo and Passenger ships, Offshore Supply Ships and Yachts build to either LY3 or the Red Ensign Passenger Yacht Code. Further the job is to assist clients in the design and construction phase and to witness ballast water treatment tests carried out at accredited laboratories in Scandinavia. Job Requirements • Degree in Naval Architecture or as a Marine Engineer. • Minimum 3-years experience within Statutory regime from Yard, class, shipowner, consultant etc. • Client focused. • Good communication skills (working language is English). • Commercial Awareness. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Ability to prioritise work and meet LR and Clients deadlines. • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
