- Fellowships - Denmark - Måløv A two year Postdoc position is available in the department of Non-clinical Development. In this job you will help us expand our understanding of the physiological response to weight loss in lean and obese rodents. About the department The department is overall responsible for performing non-clinical studies supporting the safety assessment of drug candidates throughout development. Our department is characterized by an open, innovative and ambitious atmosphere with good opportunities for further development of the employees. The job Non-clinical safety testing of drug candidates is generally conducted in conventional, healthy animals. For the development of anti-obesity candidates, selecting the appropriate animal toxicity model can be challenging based on the complexity of target biology. You will be responsible for driving a two-year project looking at the difference between lean and obese rodents and their response to treatment with weight reducing drug candidates. You will be working in close collaboration with toxicologists and pharmacologists. Developing and maintaining strong networks within different functions and areas of expertise will be an important part of your work with good opportunities for personal and professional development. Qualifications You hold a PhD in Life Sciences and have a strong experimental background within obesity, appetite regulation or metabolic diseases and your career has also provided you with +2 years of international experience. You have a proven publication record and a good international network, preferably with experience from working cross-culturally or in global teams. You are highly motivated to work in a results-oriented drug discovery environment. You are innovative and have good interpersonal skills with a high sense of individual responsibility.
