Statistician, Global Quality, Bagsvaerd
Our team of three statisticians, StatTeam, is responsible for different statistical tasks including development and optimization of analytical methods, process optimization, product development, participation in cross functional projects and training of employees in statistics. Thus, as a statistician at Novozymes you will be challenged to use a wide range of statistical tools on an everyday basis.


All tasks are done in close collaboration and dialogue with colleagues in Novozymes both in Denmark and abroad. We have 1000+ highly qualified colleagues using SAS JMP software for statistics, so supporting them to do statistical analyses on their own is an important part of the job.
Your tasks will be a mixture of anything from ad-hoc tasks lasting an hour to participating in large projects lasting months or even years. You will do many statistical analyses on your own but also many in direct interaction with a scientist.


Not two days are alike. Sometimes you are working a whole day on your own, analyzing data; other days you are involved in several meetings with colleagues from other departments or providing statistical support by training colleagues in the use of statistical methods.


As statistics and data analysis become a more and more integral part of decision making at Novozymes, you will get an exciting and challenging job with a high impact on how we conclude on data that are fundamental for our business. Furthermore, being one of three members of StatTeam, you will have a great opportunity to influence how statistical methods are implemented and used at different levels of the organization. 

In this position, you need to: 

• Have an academic background specializing in statistics (MSc/PhD)
• Have experience in applying statistics in industry, e.g. explorative statistics, design of experiments, statistical process control, ANOVA, regression and mixed models
• Have experience with statistical software, e.g. JMP, R or SAS
• Have the ability to work independently, which is essential, and at the same time be able to work in projects and teams
• Be fluent in Danish and English (written and oral) as well as possess good communication and teaching skills and have the ability to translate statistical results to non-statisticians

Experience working with data in the biotech industry is a plus but not a requirement.
