Manufacturing and Global Sourcing is divided up into segments - Blades, Assembly and Controls & Generator. The segments are consolidated together with Global Sourcing, Global QSE and PEX. Global Sourcing negotiates contracts and framework agreements with suppliers which sets prices and conditions for the daily operational purchases within Vestas. Global Sourcing key responsibility areas: commercial management of suppliers, contract management and price and terms negotiations. Global Sourcing owns the Business Processes in the procuring part of the Procure-to-Pay such as: Sourcing Process Vendor Creation and Maintenance (MDM) and Purchasing Process The Towers & Internals department consist of an international team of 11 persons located in Spain, Denmark, China and USA. The department has the global sourcing responsibility of multiple categories towers, steel, door segments, cutting of plates, flanges, anchor cage parts and internals) and is leading these categories through category teams across different functional areas within the organization by cooperating closely with quality, research and development, finance, supply chain planning, transport, etc. Responsibilities: Participating in the cross functional category team and securing all KPI's and targets (safety, quality, delivery, responsiveness, flexibility and cost) are achieved at supplier level. Supporting development and maintenance of regional category strategies. Responsible for supplier relationship management. Secure sound contractual coverage. Lead negotiations with suppliers. Driving initiatives to reduce cost. Identification and evaluation of new potential suppliers. Support defining the regional category strategy for towers. Provide the category team with detailed knowledge about suppliers and the supplier market(s). Responsible for selection, initiate qualification, negotiation, contracting and integration of new suppliers to the extent agreed with the category team. Responsible for implementing the regional category strategy at supplier level. Coordinate tasks and projects in the category team at supplier level. Develop business cases for new suppliers. Follow up on cross functional cost reduction initiatives (deadlines, resources/constraints, risks and business cases). Qualifications: Higher educational background. Experienced within supply chain management and strategy execution. Competencies: Excellent communication skills in English, orally and written. Excellent negotiations skills. Good communicator (both internal and external stakeholders). Independent, outgoing, quality conscious and analytical. Additional information: Work location is Videbæk, Denmark.
