For our Hub Analysis Team within the Operative team based at our Technology head office in Brande, Denmark we are looking for a slewing bearing Engineer to strengthen our team. The Analysis Team is responsible for all the mechanical items in the Hub for the running fleet. As Structural Design Engineer for Blade Bearings you will be part of a dedicated department of skilled colleagues taking care of all aspects of Hub design including bearings. As such you will be working closely with your colleges in regional engineering departments, as well as Supply Chain Management and Service to ensure the highest quality in solutions within the area. In operational engineering we are mainly working on product updates and – developments on the turbine platforms that are in production. Consequently you will have a lot of interfaces across the organization, and you will see the result of your work immediately in the production or on sites. What are my responsibilities? · Day to day operational support to engineering departments in the regions · Root cause analysis and design solutions for warranty cases · Development and qualification of new and current suppliers together with procurement and quality department · As design responsible for bearings you will handle non conformities and secure corrective actions · Draw up of technical specifications · Review of design solutions within the bearing technology area, as well as other areas where your knowledge can be utilized · Technical sparring with customers and suppliers What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have an education as a Mechanical Engineer (B.Sc. or M.Sc) combined with several years' experience related to the mentioned areas · You are outgoing, openminded and process-oriented · You are capable of working independently as well as in a team · You are robust, trustworthy and persuasive · You are structured and innovative, and your approach to task solving is both technically sound and commercially viable · You have the ability to interact at all levels in a dynamic environment · You possess strong communication and English skills both orally and in writing Some travel activity to suppliers in Europe, USA, China etc and for trainings, must be expected. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
