We Offer The Copenhagen Finance Department has three main areas of responsibility: General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Corporate Cost Controlling. You will be part of the Corporate Cost Controlling which is responsible for the general cost controlling and Rofo process for Maersk Oil and Gas (MOG). You will provide assistance to: •Financial cost control and analysis for the corporate functions •Execution of the rolling forecasts •Monitoring its performance against actual and developing new analysis reports for management. Key Responsibilities The key objective of the position is to assist the controlling HQ team in carrying out various administrative tasks and you will be responsible for the following: •Assisting in execution of quarterly RoFo process for corporate functions as well as variance explanations •Participation in monthly and annual closing procedures (preparation of various journal entries and posting of journals) •Assisting in monthly analysis of actuals with variance explanations •Assisting in the preparation of management reporting, attend meetings and presentations •Assisting in preparation of relevant KPI’s for the G&A spend •Assisting in controlling departmental costs, service orders and work orders •Assisting in development of new KPI reports. •Ad hoc analysis Who we are looking for You are studying for either your Bachelor or Masters’ degree within finance or accounting (Cand.Merc.Aud, Cand.Merc.AEF, Cand.Merc.ASC, Cand.Merc.FIR etc.) and have a minimum of one year left of your studies. You have strong analytical skills and an eye for details, strong communications skills. You have a high level of energy and you are advanced and proficient user of the Microsoft Office package. As you will become part of an international organisation with offices around the world and interactions with people from many cultures, you have to be proficient in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of SAP and BI reporting is an advantage. You will become part of a multi-cultural team and hence good collaboration skills are required. Expected work hours will be approximately 15-20 hours per week, with the opportunity to work more or less depending on your studies. The position will be time limited with possibility of extension.
