A.P. Møller – Mærsk (APMM) is looking for an ambitious and energetic Student Assistant to join the Trade and Commercial Finance Team.

The working hours are 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility during exam and project periods. 

You will have the opportunity to improve your interpersonal and communication skills by interacting with senior stakeholders, Maersk Line Centre Finance and our Analytics team in India.

Key responsibilities

You will be assisting the Trade and Commercial Finance team who provide business partnering support to the Commercial & Line Management organisation inside Sealand Europe & Mediterranean.

The team is responsible for producing in-depth analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

You will be responsible for: 

• Updating and developing weekly and monthly management reporting

• Identifying improvements to bring greater transparency to financial information

• Developing expertise in the use finance business intelligence platforms

• Supporting the team in the quarterly Rolling Forecast process

• Providing ad hoc financial analysis as required by internal stakeholder network

• Undertaking project-based analyses to strengthen internal processes and identify profitability opportunities

We are looking for

We are looking for a proactive, analytical, detailed, and quality oriented individual. 

Since you will have daily interaction with many internal customers, it is imperative that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

It is also critical that you can keep up with a steep learning curve. 

You are a third year Bachelor or first year Master student in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related area. 

Preferably you have previous experience in management reporting, controlling or a financial analysis position. 

You should possess advanced skills in Excel as well as experienced in the use of PowerPoint. 

Since you are joining an international environment, your written and spoken English must be excellent.
