About the department

The Litigation and Compliance team is part of Legal Affairs, located in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark. We are responsible for managing key litigations and government investigations around the world and for driving global compliance programmes within business ethics, competition law, export controls and sanctions, and personal data protection. You will be part of an ambitious and dynamic team consisting of 8 employees who strive to deliver high quality results in close collaboration with our global legal and business stakeholders, including our +250 Global Legal colleagues situated in +40 locations around the world.

 

The position

We offer an exciting and challenging position that, for the right candidate, will provide a unique opportunity to impact the way we safeguard Novo Nordisk by driving global litigations and government investigations.

 

Your key responsibility will be to support the litigation function with on-going litigation matters of strategic importance to the company. This may include tasks such as creating draft materials and conducting legal research. You may also become responsible for smaller projects which require close collaboration with other departments, and ad hoc tasks such as reviewing contracts, internal guidelines, litigation-related documents and more. The workload as a student assistant is 15-20 hours per week. We are open to some flexibility around studies. Start date is 18 February 2019.

 

Qualifications

You are in the process of completing a relevant degree (e.g. Law, Business Law, or the like). You have an international mind-set, ideally experience from studying abroad and aspire to work in an international organisation upon completion of your studies. You are a fast learner, able to deliver results both independently and in collaboration with others. You are proactive, have a high level of energy, focus on quality and are able to communicate clearly. Finally, you work fluently in English.
