Would you like to build and strengthen relationships with direct suppliers in a global category? And do you want to be a part of a new way of working within our new purchasing company? Join the Supplier Account Management (SAM) function where we are globally responsible for developing the relationship with direct suppliers to Grundfos. The SAM function is a new function in Grundfos' Corporate Purchase with Headquarters in Switzerland, and our Supplier Account Managers work across locations in Europe and China. You will be based in Bjerringbro, Denmark and you refer to Department Head, Jesper Andersen. “When you join our team, you will be part of a whole new way of working with purchasing in Grundfos, and we are relentlessly ambitious when it comes to making this a success. In order to make this new function work, you will work closely with Sourcing Managers and have a strong focus on building relations and improving performance,” Jesper says. What is the job about? As Supplier Account Manager, you are responsible for the Plastics categories - Injection moulding and Raw plast. Your main areas of responsibility include ensuring optimal performance, and building and improving supplier relations. Furthermore, you implement contracts negotiated by sourcing managers, manage suppliers as well as build and implement supplier relations strategies. Moreover, you ensure deliverables in development projects in terms of securing approved components. In the process, you collaborate closely with Sourcing Managers, plants, product development and suppliers, which will take you travelling approximately 30 days per year. “By establishing a new purchasing function, we have split Category Management into the 2 segments: Sourcing and Supplier Account Management. By doing this, we will gain a lot of advantages including strengthening our supply chain focus in the account organization,” Jesper explains. What do you need to apply? You have a higher commercial or technical background or preferably a combination of the two. Additionally, you have 3-5 years of experience with purchasing, NPI, logistics or similar. Ideally, you have category knowledge within plastics. You speak and write English fluently and preferably have good skills in German. “As a person, you are goal-oriented as we are becoming even more performance-oriented. Furthermore, it is important that you are able to challenge ideas and processes. As you will touch base with many different stakeholders on all levels within and outside the organisation, you must be an excellent communicator and relationship builder,” Jesper finishes.
