Do you want to be part of the Global Sourcing team in Vestas and work closely with suppliers in one of the most dynamic and innovative companies in the renewable energy sector globally? Global Sourcing Global Sourcing is responsible for managing Vestas supplier base world-wide. You will work closely with suppliers to secure world class performance and drive supply chain improvements. Your focus will be on secure the installation of production process and necessary capacity at the supplier to enable parts to be produced meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, flexibility objectives and the required delivery schedule. Working closely with the suppliers and Vestas cross functional Category Teams you will identify waste in the value chain and put in place activities to eliminate waste, improve efficiency and bring cost reduction to Vestas and its suppliers. This includes driving and supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of contract templates and contract processes as well as governance around contracting with the overall aim to enable business and control and create transparency with regard to risks. Responsibilities: Secure the installation of the production process and necessary capacity at the supplier to enable parts to be produced meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, flexibility objectives and the required delivery schedule Ensure necessary installed capacity and readiness for timely SOP deliveries as well as continued production process output in accordance with the Vestas forecast and call off schedules Identify roadblocks and risks and follow up to have an adequate action plans Identify waste in the value chain and put in place activities to eliminate waste, improve efficiency and bring cost reduction to Vestas and its suppliers Support Supplier Quality in verification process (PPAP, Audits, Tooling verification, releases. waste/cost reduction opportunities) Lead activities to ensure full supplier performance and delivery readiness for identified projects, NPI, newly introduced suppliers and ECOs Prepare Project Reviews and reporting as well as management meetings, agenda follow-up Develop supplier processes and activities in order to optimize cost, quality, innovation, delivery and innovation performance from the supplier Identify supplier related risks (including in their value chain, Tier 2, 3 and further) and ensure proactive actions will be put in place to mitigate risks Secure Vestas safety and sustainability requirements are followed. Secure local content requirements are adhered to. Develop and maintain all relevant internal and external relations to stakeholders Be on the 'shop floor' at suppliers to secure compliance and a hands on approach. Qualifications: The successful candidate has: A degree in related discipline, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing and Business/Economy 5-10 years of work experience within a comparable environment in a manufacturing company or consultancy Solid experience with contract drafting and negotiation Hands-on experience and good understanding of Lean principles and their application in the supply chain Good stakeholder management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Competencies: The successful candidate: Good commercial awareness, sourcing acumen and business understanding Capable of driving complex projects coupled with a strong analytical and structured approach Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills Ability to communicate at all levels in order to provide accurate information on complex matters A can-do approach combined with a hardworking and result driven mindset What we offer: We offer an exciting job with excellent opportunities for professional and personal develo
