Job Description

Are you determined, and do you know how to use your initiative?
As our new Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for all electronics suppliers located in Europe, monitoring the supply and quality performance of these and driving improvements.

Can you develop professional partnerships?
As Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you assume a close working relationship with project teams and other SQE’s, both locally and internationally. Together, you align tools and experiences, enabling you to develop highly professional partnerships. Thus, you communicate and implement proper execution of our global standards to make sure suppliers know our requirements and expectations

Danfoss Heating develops and markets a wide range of components and solutions for generation, distribution and use of heat for comfort and energy savings in homes and buildings. By offering a unique product and support concept, we have built a strong position in the heating energy market and are experiencing a meaningful growth.      

Main responsibilities:

• Lead supplier development projects, evaluate supplier systems and complete new supplier Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) and major project PPAP’s, including on site run off’s in support of implementation teams
• Lead supplier for all electronics suppliers located in Europe, monitoring the supply and quality performance of these and driving improvements
• Ensure supplier quality and performance data is available and accurate at all times for suppliers in their category and benchmark best in class practices to drive suppliers to that performance
• Maintain an expert level understanding of global standards, tools and templates to identify gaps and train suppliers at all levels to drive improvements in KPI’s
• Resolve supplier corrective actions requests to system level completion (Facilitate 8D)
• Perform the lead auditor role and follow up on activities with suppliers, just as you ensure that suppliers in the category are behaving in compliance with environmental and ethical standards
• Resolve major or escalated operational issues with suppliers such as quality and delivery problems, including engaging the right people (internally and externally)

As our new Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you assume a close working relationship with project teams and other SQE’s, both locally and internationally. Thus, you communicate and implement proper execution of our global standards to make sure suppliers know our requirements and expectations. 

Requirements: 

• Familiar with engineering and have 3+ years’ experience within manufacturing operations, making you knowledgeable about manufacturing processes and development
• Degree focusing on manufacturing, quality, technology, process engineering or similar, giving you a set of quality tools, auditing skills and an eye for improvements
• Familiar with quality tools (PPAP, FMEA, Gage R&R, Control Plans, etc.) and continuous improvement tools
• Ideally experience with the quality standard TS 16949
• Highly structured and thrive when solving problems through your adept analytical talent
• Speak and write English fluently and a willingness to travel

Able to coach and collaborate with people across seniority and field of expertise – both internally and externally. To do so, you are a well-versed communicator, who can secure buy-in and make other people listen. You are resilient when facing challenges and able to work in a matrix environment
