Would you like to work with the newest cloud technology and Internet of Things? Then this is a unique opportunity to work in a new field of technology of strategic importance to Grundfos as you spar with experienced colleagues, as well as being a front-runner in this specific area. Here, you get to impact groundbreaking technology shaping the future of energy consumption and provide clean drinking water to the world. You become part of the Grundfos IS Development Factory – Systems department consisting of 20 colleagues responsible for our own developed systems, either for the Internet and Intranet, or applications used in the different production processes. Furthermore, you will work closely with the software development team in the department, our business delivery areas, Project Managers and colleagues in the Grundfos business outside Grundfos IS. You refer to Department Head, Jan Hinnerfeldt Nielsen. ”You will work closely with especially 2 colleagues and some external consultants with Grundfos experience. But you will also work with the development department doing Java and .Net development and enjoy a positive atmosphere and competent sparring. We all help each other in a vibrant team environment where we discuss methods and tools,” explains Jan. What is the job about? Specialising in software system solutions, you will be working with our system architecture related to Internet of Things (IoT). This entails handling application solutions on a specialist level within the area to ensure that the chosen platforms and systems meet business requirements as well as internal IS requirements. As such, you work with our system application architecture and quality assurance and participate in maturing the competences, processes and methods in the department. Your success in this position depends on efficiently developing and maintaining cost effective, sustainable solutions by request of the Grundfos IS delivery areas. Thus, you deliver solutions in projects and other development initiatives within the agreed time that live up to our best practice solution architectural principles. At the same time, you ensure that the quality of the delivered products live up the Quality Assurance principles. “This is a new area within Grundfos, which we need to drive andgrow. Your challenge will be to gather experience and information from existing systems and implement this into new IoT technology. Working with the Product Engineers, you make sure the interface to our products works perfectly in order for applications and products to come together in a quality symbiosis,” says Jan. What do you need to apply? You preferably hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar and have experience in .Net programming. Additional knowledge of Java programming is not mandatory, but is an advantage. Moreover, you may have experience with one or more of the following platforms: IIS on MS Windows Server, SQL databases (e.g. DB2, MS SQL), GIT repositories and MicroSoft Visual Studio - Team Foundation, System Deployment, Task Management Systems (JIRA/Bamboo and/or TFS). Working well in Scrum teams, you are able to make recommendations for future software developments as well as analyse and create systems in response to technical specifications. “On a personal level, you are a holistic and communicative team player, who takes responsibility and ownership and are used to working in an international organisation. You have the drive to learn new things and are curious about where this new technology will take us,” finishes Jan.
