AltaPay is still growing and is therefore looking for a systems administrator.
AltaPay is a Danish company whose primary product is a technical payment platform aimed mainly at large companies with individual financial needs. AltaPay provides the technical integration of online payments and bank connections for its customers, e.g. credit card payments, iDEAL, and PayPal.
We offer an open and attractive office environment in the former home of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation as well as first class catering. AltaPay also arranges a Friday café, social activities a couple of times a year, and has a good humoured and easy-going work environment throughout the company. All employees work out together two - three times a week with a personal trainer. You will be working with the latest IT hardware in computers and servers as well as the latest software.
Job description
We are looking for a systems administrator with technical expertise, who will take part in the daily operations and be responsible for the smooth functioning of the systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting in case of system failure. You will occasionally be on call nights to ensure the 24/7 functioning of the systems. In addition, once or twice a year, renewal of computers and servers and larger software updates will be done on night shifts.
Experience with programming is an advantage.
You will be placed with the Customer Care team and work with two other systems administrators and two technical supporters as well as the head of the team.
Requirements
- Super user of SQL database
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux environment
The applicant
To succeed you need personal drive, a strong sense of responsibility and be able to solve urgent issues on the go. Cooperation with other departments is part of the job and you need to be able to communicate with both technical and business staff.
- You may have experience from a similar job as systems administrator
- You have a good technical understanding
- You speak and write English fluently and with ease
- Knowledge of programming is an advantage
Most importantly, you are ambitious, demonstrate overview in crisis situations, and have a good business understanding.
