For our Electrical Power Conversion Design Department in Siemens Wind Power in Brande, Denmark we are looking for a technical Team Leader to manage our electrical design engineers and specialists and take an active part in the future development and design of electrical solutions in our wind turbines. The department specializes in power converters, electrical design and design of main circuits, and is responsible for product and technology development in the areas Power Converter layout and design, power cables and LV switch gears. A comprehensive solution approach is essential for the department’s success due to the diverse complexity of the owned components and solutions as well as many critical interfaces. Quality and on time deliveries are key performance elements in the daily work to ensure best in class wind turbines for our customers What are my responsibilities? As Team Leader you will be responsible for managing a very skilled team with a broad technical knowledge within power conversion and power electronics, power converter cooling and mechanical layout as well as main power circuit design and protection and EMC issues. Further assignments will include: · Managing the design and specialist team · Participating in management meetings in the Hardware Department · Involvement and support in technical solutions and reviews · Ensuring timely quality deliveries to projects · Task and resource management within the team · Developing the engineers and specialists of the team as well as the role of the department on a continuous basis. · Driving product and technology development roadmaps and developing partnerships with external partners and suppliers What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have an education within electrical engineering, combined with at least 5-7 years of experience within the field of electrical hardware design and management · You have a deep technical understanding and preferably also experience with wind turbines · You are familiar with working in large matrix organizations and able to handle many tasks and interfaces simultaneously · You are a dedicated team player and thrive in multi-cultural environments · You possess strong communication and English skills, both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
