Is co-operation with an external IT supplier your expertise? Are you good at interacting with many different people around the globe? If yes, then we have a job for you heading up our IWRS team. About the department You will join Clinical Supplies which is a part of the Novo Nordisk Research & Development organisation. We are responsible for the planning, production, packaging, labelling and distribution of investigational drug for all Novo Nordisk clinical trials worldwide. We make sure that the required investigational drug is provided to the patients participating in our clinical trials. Our department, Clinical Supplies Project Planning (CSPP) consists of three teams; Project Entry team, Supply Strategy team and the IWRS team. The job In most of our clinical trials we use an IT-system called Interactive Web Response System (IWRS) to handle allocation of treatments to patients, manage shipments to hospitals around the world and ensure that we get the right data from our trials. The IWRS is specifically set-up for each trial, and right now we operate IWR systems for around 40 trials. It will be your overall responsibility to ensure we get the IWRS up and running for new trials and maintained during the whole trial period. The actual programming and operation of the system is outsourced. You will manage a team of 17 IWRS co-ordinators, who are responsible for specification, test and supervision of the development of the IWRS for each trial. You will support your team in daily operation management and ensure timelines are met. You act as a competent sparring partner to your team – you coach and empower your employees to deliver excellent results. You will report to the CSPP Director and be a member of the CSPP management team. As a member of the CSPP management team, you will contribute actively in developing CSPP strategies and targets, and in supporting a good working climate. Qualifications You hold a relevant Master's degree (e.g. in Business, IT, Engineering or pharma engineering). You have proven leadership experience preferably within pharma and IT. You have experience in leading professionals working independently - empowered by you to work towards agreed targets. You understand when to delegate and when you have to dig into the details, and you are interested in both people management and process optimisation. You are goal oriented and you have the ability to prioritise and plan ahead and overview complex business processes.
