As Novo Nordisk is developing break-through oral formulations of insulin and GLP-1, we are expanding our clinical late phase organisation. That is why we are looking for a Team Leader who can set direction in a team border lining between development and production environment. You will be involved in CMC activities for process development, process challenge and filing for authority approval of solid protein dosage forms. About the department The department is newly established and will by august 2015 consist of 6 teams. During the coming half year we are expanding from app 35 to app. 85 employees. The purpose of the department is deliverables for the late stage clinical trial and preparation of filing documentation. This means qualifying the manufacturing equipment, setting and validating the manufacturing process. Also the department will be operating the late phase facility. You will report to the Director and as head of the development team, you will be member of the department management team. The job Managing a team during massive expansion means that a significant task is to establish and ensure the structure, the direction, the working environment and the good communication with stakeholders. You will manage a team of 18 highly skilled specialists, scientists and technicians. Their main deliverables are setting and validating the process parameters; becoming experts in the critical process steps and IPC and preparing filing documentation for authority approval. Your key to success lies within your ability to establish a positive and highly dedicated team, to prioritize and to stay calm and set direction in a hectic environment where structure is to be established. Engagement across the teams and stakeholder management is also considered main objectives to succeed in the position. Qualifications You have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy or similar and solid experience from the pharmaceutical industry. Preferably you have a background with in solid dosage processes, respectively drug product development towards late stages. Your experience as people manager has taught you how to pass your own passion on to your team in an involving and appreciative way. High-quality is a trademark for you, and you use LEAN as a natural approach in your leadership. You have credibility, you can make yourself understood and are able to realise your decisions.
