Can you lead a global team of dedicated technical writers? And can you manage team deliverables by developing schedules and plans to support product and service launches? Then you might just be the right person for the position of Technical Communication Team Leader and Editor for our Technical Communication department within the Power Electronics division. The division has supply chain and research and development centres in China, Denmark, the United States and Germany and a global network of sales offices serving customers with high quality energy-efficient power electronics solutions. The job is situated in Gråsten, and you will be responsible for leading a team of six people who develop and write technical documentation for Danfoss Power Electronics worldwide. Coordinating and prioritising team activities With your team leader experience and your excellent written and verbal English communication skills we rely on you to design and implement our overall concept for technical communication using global Danfoss methods, styles and procedures. You write and edit cross-platform (generic) content in clear and concise English suitable for translation and worldwide publication (simplified technical English). We also expect you to deliver training in Danfoss writing style and technical communication concepts. Further responsibilities will be:•To ensure your team’s delivery of cost-efficient, compliant and usable technical communication material on time •To ensure that our users are supported with clear, concise, well-structured, translatable and relevant product information •To ensure that the team is well functioning – even when working under pressure •To ensure that the team benefits fully from the single sourcing principle Precision, quality and keeping deadlines You hold a master’s degree in engineering, journalism, communication, marketing, English or equivalent, and if you are a certified technical writer and editor it is a plus. Most importantly, however, you have experience with technical writing and communicating features of complex products to various audiences. You have experience with topic-based authoring, single sourcing, CMS and XML-based editing. As a person you are outgoing, have a natural curiosity and are not afraid of asking questions. You have a structured and proactive approach to your assignments and are fearless when it comes to writing. You do not lose sight of the big picture and you have a continuous improvement mindset. You thrive in a highly dynamic organisation where your ability to gather, systemise and structure complex information from many different stakeholders is of key importance. You have the ability to see the broad picture and think logically, and you understand the importance of keeping deadlines. Last but not least you are able to listen and delegate, and you have an eye for the quality of communication material – and how to achieve it.
