What do we offer?
Would you like to work with Technical Product documentation, topic-based authoring and develop your talent for structured writing? Would you like to use your analytical sense and your technical knowledge to ensure that our customers get exactly the right information about our great products?
Then join the Product Information Management and play a vital role in transforming data from Grundfos Engineering into clear and concise product information for our customers. Based in Bjerringbro, Denmark, you will collaborate with a group of 100 colleagues working out of Denmark, Hungary, Germany, the US and China. You will refer to Senior Manager, Kasper Nørgaard Kristensen.

What is the job about?
With the needs of our customers in mind, you collect, structure and write up information about a wide range of Grundfos products. These years, we are making a transition to DITA and your role will be author. With your knowledge about structured content, you advise our stakeholders on information-specific solutions, such as legal or content issues. Moreover, for selected projects, you will be responsible for the local coordination of associated tasks within Product Information Management (PIM) engaging with other roles in PIM globally. This includes serving as point-of-entry into PIM and planning project-related sub tasks (such as writing processes, drawings, curves and localisations).
“It’s all about asking the right questions. You have to be able to retrieve and understand information from subject matter experts and then transform that information into clear, concise and structured text or graphics,” Kasper says.
What do you need to apply?
You are a team player at heart, but if you need to, you are capable of finding solutions independently. You are a specialist with a high sense of quality which will be shown in our daily work where you focus on the details. You thrive in a dynamic setup and you enjoy the many interactions with colleagues around the world. Therefore, English (both verbal and written) at a high level is required and Danish is an advantage.
You have a bachelor’s degree in technical writing (communications) or a technical (engineering) background. You have strong communication skills and high proficiency within written and spoken English. Preferably, you have a good understanding of structured, topic-based authoring (such as DITA) as well as content delivery processes and you are familiar with HTML, CSS, XML or related web technologies. Finally, you are knowledgeable about standard-industry best practices in terms of information development and delivery, and any experience from a technical engineering domain is an advantage.
“You work in a structured manner which allows you to prioritise your own tasks as well as those of others. You enjoy balancing multiple tasks, typically working with several projects at different stages at the same time,” Kasper finishes.
