As our new Technical Content Writer, you will be part of Oticon’s Mandatory Materials & Program Support team, which is part of Oticon’s Sales and Marketing organization with global responsibility. The team is responsible for supporting new product introductions, instructions and data sheets, both regarding developing new materials and updating materials already on the market. We focus on delivering a quality experience towards hearing clinics and users of Oticon’s hearing aids.

It is important to have the right background and a personal interest in optimizing and ensuring that instruction for use is correct and consistent across all our products. A key part of this role is lies in turning highly advanced products and functionality into easily understandable user instructions. You can easily describe a proper usage or an end user adoption, while complying with the relevant regulatory requirements at the same time. It is also important to deliver Instruction for use in proper time for country approvals and product launches.

Your responsibilities
In collaboration with Oticon Product Management, you will drive, organize, develop, write and edit collateral, primarily instructions and data sheets.
- Text content creation for mandatory materials (Instructions for Use and Technical data sheets) and user guides. Preparation of new materials supporting product launches as well as working on updates and adaptations based on previous versions.
- Transforming technical texts in a user-friendly language
- Making sure the text is compliant with brand requirement
- Ensuring timely delivery and handover to Oticon’s graphical production team in Marketing
- Ensuring alignment with Oticon’s Mandatory Manager to ensure the alignment of content and text across the different versions
- Ensuring that the mandatory material is compliant with the medical device regulation and done in accordance with the local legislation in the respective countries
Your profile and qualifications
Ideally you hold a master´s degree in English business and technical language (cand. ling. merc.), however most important is extensive communication skills.
Preferably, you will have 5 years of experience from a similar position, it is an advantage if you have been working within the medical or life science industry. You know how to write user guides that leave the reader with a clear understanding of the workflow and instructions. You have good interpersonal skills. You have a natural desire to meet deadlines even when they are tight. You have great attention to details, a consistent and structured way of work. You are proactive, independently working and take responsibility and you are able to keep track of and drive multiple tasks at the same time. You enjoys coordinating input and deliveries and project management skills is a plus.
