Vestas Offshore, Construction Support On the 27th of September 2013 Vestas Wind Systems A/S and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. agreed to form a joint venture (JV) dedicated to global leadership in offshore wind energy. Leveraging on the respective strengths of each organization, the JV will be well-positioned to win an expanding share of the offshore wind turbine market and become a global leader in this attractive and high-growth market. With offices based in Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom we are responsible for Vestas’ involvement of offshore wind power plants worldwide. Vestas Offshore is synonymous with professionalism, overview and the capacity to take a holistic approach to projects from the initial idea to the completed wind farm, dealing with the unpredictability of Mother Nature and all the other special challenges that apply to offshore projects. Vestas Offshore is a prime example of strength and flexibility combined. Our new Technical Instructors will be part of the training team in our Construction Support department. You will be part of an experienced team who has focus on high safety standards, knowledge, business focus and performance. The department has an open and informal culture where business and customer understanding as well as stakeholder management are keys to our success. Responsibilities: Responsible for developing concept for technical classroom and field training. Initial training will be about Vestas Offshore V112 turbine and the V164 as soon as commercialized. Responsible for conducting classroom and field training for Vestas Offshore Service, Installation and Commissioning supervisors in various European countries. Responsible for conducting subcontractor classroom and field training. Responsible for organising and planning the training, incl. booking of practical arrangements related to training sessions Responsible for staying updated and maintaining technical expertise on relevant wind turbine products Responsible for incorporating HSE and quality into the training Support initial development of V164 training materials in cooperation with Technology (TSS) Responsible for continuous developing and maintain the training material for the V164 Offshore turbine in alignment with the V164 documentation material. Evaluate training programs and recommend improvements. Attend meetings regularly and participate in training-related discussions Support establishment of trainings programs to suit the current organizational needs support to the training committee. Qualifications: We expect that you have a relevant Technical background e.g. Electrician or Marine Engineer You have profound technical knowledge of wind turbines, preferable Gridstreamer and are able to adapt to and understand new technologies fast. You are passionate about training others, and have demonstrated high teaching skills. Compentencies: Good presentation skills Good interpersonal skills Able to act proactively and work independently Ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds and at all levels of an organisation Ability to speak and write fluent English Knowledge of basic MS Office package, incl.
