Your responsibilities as a Technical Lead As a person you possess a mindset of a Technical Lead. Being a technical lead means that you naturally connect the loose ends, and at the same time evaluate the technical impact on system level. You naturally fill-in the technical gaps and act as a technical lead or system architect when implementing changes. In your role you will be responsible for analyzing problems and change requests on a Unix and Linux system. The solutions that you identify will require skills within working on Unix/Linux, experience with shell scripting and perhaps knowledge of file-systems and databases. With your technical skills you are able to build bridges between technic and end-users. The complexity of the system you will be working with requires your ability to get the overview of a Clinical Data Warehouse combined with a Scientific Computer Environment. Your technical skills are preferable combined with a flair for spotting details. It is important that your work has a high focus on quality. You will be working with Good Clinical Practice documentation for a strong regulated pharmaceutical business. A part of the daily work contains documentation of the work, verification of changes and documentation of installation. You will get a very versatile job, and depending on your experience and personality it will be possible to shape the job to match your interests and skills. As a technical lead it is essential to be curious, ask open questions and assess or scrutinize complex technical solutions developed by others. The purpose is to ensure that the optimal selection of method and technology is used to solve the issue. You will join our team You will join a team with colleagues located around the world, primary in China and Denmark. Often the ‘technical lead’ gathers the contributions for our teams around the world. You can have the responsibility for up to 3 projects of various sizes at the same time. The ability to grasp the overview quickly, challenge the technical work and evaluating impact is the most essential capability. Open and honest. Your qualifications and experience You hold a Master’s degree or BA in IT and extensive experience from the IT industry working with Linux or HP-UX. You have experience working with ITIL and knowledge of SAS capabilities, configuration and programming. If you have knowledge of Oracle Databases and Java it is an advantage. Others describe you as a quality oriented and outgoing person. You have a good overview and possess strong prioritizing skills. You want to be the driving force of analyzing business and technical investigations across an international organization, and you have eagerness to work continuously with optimizations and improvements. Last but not least you understand the value of providing rationales in relation to documentation and daily work. You are fluent in English both written and spoken. There may be a small chance to travel on international projects - primarily in Europe.
