Manufacturing & Global Procurement > Assembly > PE Assembly & Towers > Tools & Automation
Tools & Automation is a global function with the responsibility to deliver production equipment for all Vestas factories (except blade factories). Our projects vary from optimisation and automation projects, to full tooling projects for new factories. We are also heavily involved in the developing projects as responsible for the production tooling development related to new products.
Responsibilities
You will be heading one or more projects depending on the size and complexity. You manage the project from initial cooperation with our R&D department until you hand over the project to our internal customer. The project teams will consist of 2-5 persons located globally. Your project reference will be either directly to the Steering Committee or to an overall project manager, if your project is a subproject.
Your responsibilities are to:
- Ensure that all project work is done safely
- Lead your project team, and ensure that it delivers according to the agreed time, quality and cost
- Manage sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure they perform as agreed.
- Perform good stakeholder management to ensure the right commitment to your project
- Make resource estimates and ensure resources are allocated to your projects from the line organisation
- Prepare and conduct Steering committee- and project status meetings
- Handling of risk management
- Ensure that our processes are followed and you contribute to a continuous improvement of our processes as well.
- Explore new technologies for assembly processes and automations
- Ensure final handover to end costumer and run in of the equipment
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor's degree as Marine Engineer, Production Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar and you have at least 3-5 years of relevant Technical Project Management experience from a production environment. Further, we expect that you:
- Preferable you are IPMA C and/or PRINCE II certified
- You have experience in working globally
- You have experience in working with sub-contractors, including contract negotiations
- You have experience in leading and motivating a project team

- Are able to work under tight deadlines

- Master English fluently, both written and orally.
