For our Generator Department we are looking for a technical project manager to bring state-of-the-art turbine technology to a still more competitive market. Continuous improvement of our turbines - without compromising on safety and quality - is one of the corner stones of our culture and time to market is one of our main priorities. Consequently, our generator department is at the forefront of the latest Direct Drive Generator technology, and we are replacing the gear box with our own developed multi-poled, outer rotor, permanent magnet generator. To be able to meet the expanding activities we are looking for a Project Manager for mechanical design. What are my responsibilities? As technical project manager it is your responsibility to have the overview of all Siemens Wind Powers Direct Drive generators and sites and you will: · have the overall technical responsibility for the Direct Drive generator platform · be responsible for the detailed planning of development and documentation tasks in the team based on the project plan · be participating in concept development · drive retrofit issues · take part in warranty cases and damage issues · help training new employees · ensure high quality in our documentation standard · be contact person for Production, Procurement and Quality as well as Service Travel activity will be approximately 10 – 20 days a year What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have an educational background as a mechanical engineer (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) or similar. If you have a craftsman background and/or experience from the wind industry it would be an advantage · You have some years of experience from a large scale manufacturing company and experience with working after project plans · You have experience with 3D CAD and SAP · You have a big personal drive, you are self-driven and you feel a natural ownership of your tasks · You are good at making connections, plus build up and actively use your network · You possess excellent English skills written as well as spoken In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
