Are you a skilled Project Manager with solid people skills? And would you like to play a key role in development of new LEGO Products where you balance the interests and demands of designers and engineers? Join the Part Design Technical Leads team Part Design Technical Leads is part of Elements & Moulds in Engineering and Quality. We develop core products for the LEGO Group and serve as the vital link between Product Development and Operations. You will join 14 other Technical Project Managers and lead different teams, working on various projects where your role is to plan and coordinate the technical processes of new product development. The teams you head typically consist of 8-10 technical constructors. As Technical Project Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to get close to the early stages of innovation and product development and to directly influence the final products and results of the LEGO Group. In addition, you will be part of a truly global organisation and get to work with state of the art technical project management tools, techniques and processes. Furthermore, in time, you could get the opportunity to advance to a more senior position. Head your team and foster collaboration between designers and constructors You produce project plans and ensure that the technical aspects of the projects are moving forward. This entails balancing the visions of the designers with what is technically possible while making decisions accordingly. As part of this, you calculate and estimate in terms of capacity and financial resources to ensure that the projects stay within the set budget, time and quality standards. Equally important is the daily coordination of your team. As our central and uniting lighthouse, you inspire and serve as an example to those around you. Although you do not have any formal management responsibilities, you serve as the go-to-person and team leader who supports and motivates the constructors in their daily tasks. You will be challenged mainly in terms of ensuring teamwork and collaboration across the organisation. This specifically applies to your contact with the design and engineering teams where you are responsible for making sure that everyone is equipped to do their part of the process. Also, the nature of this position may take you travelling between 10-20 days a year and, in time, you Could get the opportunity to work abroad for a longer period of time. Engineer with strong people and project management skills You have a technical background - probably within Plastic Engineering, Machine Engineering or you could be a skilled technician. You have worked in a similar position for 3-5 years - preferable within a matrix or global organisation. It would be an advantage if you have experience with 3D construction and SAP. Also, you have experience with project and quality management. Finally, you are close to fluent in written and spoken English. As a person, you are outgoing, dependable and a skilled networker capable of establishing relations across a large international organisation. With your excellent leadership, communication and project management skills, you build a pleasant work environment for your team, ensuring the best possible setting for producing results.
