Here is a golden opportunity to lead a team of competent engineers where your primary task is to ensure that the team perform and function well as a Group. We Offer We offer you the chance to lead and form part of a team of 10 highly competent engineers each with various backgrounds and their specific area of expertise. Through coordinating and distributing assignments within the group, you will obtain insight and experience from other disciplines such as process, mechanical, electrical and structural engineering and all the way to environmental impact assessment. And so you will through involvement and support to the team members undoubtedly develop your already advanced technical understanding and build a greater knowledge of safety and risk assessment analyses in a global organization. You will join a team responsible for providing the right basis for identifying, reporting and ensuring a safe operation and that safety is a top priority in all aspects of our business. You will be able to cooperate with other stakeholders such as technical managers and line managers. You get to prepare for the future and together with our technical authorities and lay out a strategic plan for enforcing the outcome of technical safety initiatives. Key Responsibilities You ensure that the team function as a group and that collaboration and communication across divisions and departments run smoothly. You support our “Safety Engineers” in their continuous development and nurture skills within the team at a technical level. It is up to you to prepare a personal development plan including internal and external training for each member. This includes ensuring that the Technical Safety Team has the right competences and that additional hiring and succession planning is in place. You encourage the team to be top quartile amongst peers. The main purpose of the Technical Safety Team is to perform risk assessment analyses – for our existing facilities, new facilities or decommissioning and in connection with simultaneous operation with accommodation or drilling rigs. Safety is always our top priority, and it is the purpose of the team to ensure that safety levels are well within our standards. As part of this responsibility you prioritize safety issues and ensure that safety, economic and commercial evaluation is carried out in order to ensure optimal dispositions. Other tasks include: • Performance of safety critical elements Management System. • Continuous dialog with third party verifying body and authorities regarding Technical Safety • Maintain and further develop internal guidelines in corporation with the TA-2 and the team. • Continue effective daily execution and optimization of activities, while seeking and utilizing global synergies and economies of scale. • Ensure Health and Safety Reviews, Quantitative Risk Assessments, Evacuations Analysis etc. are in place for all installations • Assurance of Technical Safety analysis and documentation. Who we are looking for Most importantly you are a trained and open-minded leader with several years of experience from a similar position in the offshore oil and gas industry. The role requires a minimum of 10 years proven leadership within a poly-technical position, combined with documented skills as a professional Technical Safety engineer. Your exact education is not of the highest importance; however, a degree in a technical field of engineering is required. This will serve you well in your daily work as you need to have an understanding of- and discuss many different technical subjects. Furthermore, we expect you to be up-to-date with current leadership and technical development within the area of work including legislation, standards and practices.
