Would you like to manage our Water Utility service plans and establish a global network of technical experts that can provide technical support to our customers worldwide? Then join the Grundfos Service & Solutions department consisting of 13 dedicated service professionals, where you will be part of a team of Technical Service Specialists in Bjerringbro, Denmark each with their own segment/product focus. You will work with industry leading technical products amongst like-minded professionals in a strong team and an international environment,” Torben explains. What is the job about? As Technical Service Specialist, you are responsible for developing and managing our Water Utility service plans across the entire portfolio of WU pump products. This entails working closely with the Grundfos Water Utility product managers when developing new innovative pump products, ensuring that the service plan is an integrated part of the product development process from the idea phase through product launch to phase-out at the end of the product life cycle. Another part of your job is to create a specialist network within Water Utility across our regions around the world. This specialist network serves to train-the-trainer, enabling these regional/area specialists to develop the technical competencies of their local Service Technicians. “Creating and maintaining such a global network can be a challenge because it involves engaging people across time zones, cultures, languages and competence levels. In the role as our Technical Service Specialist, you will have a unique opportunity to drive our service plans and technical competence programmes for the entire Water Utility area, which is a core strategic focus area for Grundfos,” Torben says. What do you need to apply? You hold a Technical or Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Hydraulic) and have a technical background with good experience from a similar position, preferably from within the Water Utility industry. Furthermore, you have a high technical understanding as well as experience working in projects within an international organisation. It is an advantage if you have direct customer experience from a service and/or sales organisation. You possess working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (we work in SAP). You have well developed interpersonal and communication skills and a customer centric mind set,” Torben finishes. The role requires approx. 20 - 30 travel days per year.
