Job ID: 232365 Location: Vejle Organization: Siemens in Denmark – Siemens Wind Power – http://www.siemens.com/windpower Mode of employment: Full time For our Documentation and Safety in Design department, within our expanding Offshore Engineering unit, we are looking for a Technical Writer that will develop and maintain project specific and standard technical documentation. You will be based at our competence centre in Vejle. What are my responsibilities? As a Technical Writer you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a broad range of work instructions and checklists for the installation of Siemens Wind Power turbines. More specifically your main responsibilities will be to: Gather relevant information from design engineers, installation specialists, and equipment experts Help identify necessary installation documents and engage all the players that need to participate in the creation of technical documentation Create new and update work instructions and checklists according to Siemens Engineering standards and client specifications Facilitate the review of documents and cooperate with end-users in improving descriptions of work activities (in the back office but also on site) Participate in mock-up and prototype activities to understand installation processes and collect hands-on information Ensure lifecycle management of documents What do I need to qualify for this job? You have a relevant educational background, either engineering or business related and preferably at master level. You have minimum 1 year of work experience in a project/engineering organisation As a person you are pro-active, structured and outgoing. You work meticulously with details and also have the ability to see the broad picture. You possess good time-management and organizational skills. Furthermore you have the ability to manoeuvre in a fast-paced environment, and feel comfortable networking with a wide range of people Additionally, you are an advanced user of Microsoft Office applications and 2D/3D design tools You possess excellent communication and English skills both orally and in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
