We are looking for a Technical Writer/Translator with a high level of English/Polish proficiency for our Product and Process Documentation department within SCM Global Blades. One of our main responsibilities is to create, maintain and release shop floor documentation to enable production of wind turbine blades. These activities also include translation or localization into applicable target languages. What are my responsibilities? · Creating and maintaining work instructions, check lists, control instructions, etc. in collaboration with relevant global and local engineering functions · Translating documents from English to Polish · Coordinating translation activities with external translation service providers · Reviewing and managing externally translated documents · Occasionally acting as an interpreter for Polish speaking employees · Performing quality review of documents created/updated by colleagues (technical editing and compliance check) · General Technical Writing or Engineering Change Management (ECM) support What do I need to qualify for this job? Essential: · Experienced in technical writing and translation in collaboration with engineers and technicians · Excellent English and Polish speaking and writing skills · Advanced user of MS Office with flair for IT tools and systems in general · Outgoing, flexible, self-driven and proactive personality, capable of multitasking, structuring own work assignments and meeting deadlines · Understanding the importance of adhering to safe working practices while producing high quality, clear and concise documentation · Able to communicate and collaborate with people across all organizational levels Desirable: · Danish speaking and writing skills · Familiar with general Document Management principles/systems · Experience working with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator · Experience working with TeamCenter (DMS, CMS), topic-based authoring, CMS, XML · Advanced user of SDL Trados or similar computer assisted translation tool · Familiar with Engineering Change Management in a global company In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
