Job Description

Danfoss is hiring! We are looking for a Test Management Engineer with a passion to meet customer expectations within quality and functionality of products. You will become an important team member of the R&D Test Management department within Danfoss Drives business. Main objective is to manage aspects of the testing cycle to ensure that the specified is fulfilled, and your primary task will be to manage and support the product validation activities within 1st priority R&D projects.

You will be working closely with different R&D project teams (mainly in Denmark, USA and Finland) and manage resources, designing test strategies and implementing their execution, organizing and reusing testing assets and environments. Having a large network within an international organization, it is necessary for you to be open and outgoing, and to excel at communication and coordination to find solutions and make the project move forward.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Creating the PTAP – Product Test and Approval Plan, including what, when & where to test, based on input from line, product requirements and best practices.
• Continuously evaluating and adjusting the test plan according to development progress, changes and learning
• Monitoring and control during test execution
• Participating and presenting test status/risks in project (core team) meetings
• Assisting project manager to test budget and request the right test resources throughout the project
• Ensuring that defects/findings found during test are being addressed

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Electrical Engineering (specialization in embedded systems)
• 3-5 years of experience within product development (preferable electronics or embedded SW) and/or product verification of products based on integrated hardware and software platforms
• Experience with test management (ISTQB foundation level certificate is a plus)
• Preferable Product and application knowledge within frequency converters
• An interest in understanding the underlying system design and architecture to ensure an optimal test strategy
• Fluent in English spoken and written

• Able to coach developers and testers, having good team skills and being a motivator, while having the desire to develop professionally
• Naturally curious, gaining knowledge about underlying technical platforms
• Proactive, able to challenge test deliverables or different requests and take responsibility on your actions
• Able to act both diplomatically and yet with a certain impact  
• Structured, systematic, analytical and organized, while multitasking and prioritizing to be able to adjust to changes fast
