For our Onshore PLM department we are looking for new Tower Portfolio Manager, who will be responsible for the overall strategy of onshore towers. This position leads all activities along the lifecycle of the towers that will support the Onshore platforms: From initial definition of tower catalogue for the new products, maintenance of the current products and phase out decisions as needed. The Tower Portfolio Manager lead functions as internal customer to our engineering and R&D teams and bridges between global market requirements and sales. What are my responsibilities? Develop overall tower strategy taking into account the balance between standard catalogue and site specific towers Develop Tower Requirement Specifications to support the Product Requirement Specification Maintain overview of market drivers and requirements that will impact the definition of the towers of the different platforms Analyze competitor offerings, benchmarking and technology tracking. Drive business cases for evaluation of new technologies with the support of the required departments and trigger new tower developments as needed. Approves new technologies to be used for the respective platforms Initiate R&D tower related projects, tracks their development and implementation to ensure they are delivered on time, on quality, on budget and meeting target cost Defining, approving and prioritizing R&D activities to ensure towers are completed as planned in support of the platforms What do I need to qualify for this job? Master degree in engineering, science or similar. Additional BA qualification (e.g. MBA) or similar experience (e.g. consulting) preferred. Several years (5+) experience in wind industry and related tower area. Experience in a strategy related environment Project management skills Excellent communication skills (English) In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
