A toxicologist position (Senior Scientist) is open for employment in the Department of Toxicology - Development Projects (Diabetes and obesity), in Måløv from 1st of September 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter. About the department The department is responsible for performing non-clinical studies supporting the safety assessment of drug candidates primarily from clinical phase 2 through to and including registration. Our department is characterized by an open, innovative and ambitious atmosphere with opportunities for further development. The job You will join our toxicology group and be allocated to drug development projects, where you will be representing our department. This includes coordination of activities with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. The focus for your projects will lie within our diabetes and obesity portfolio and your role will be to plan, ensure performance of, and report state of the art non-clinical in vivo and in vitro safety studies. You will be integrating data from these studies and other sources and thereby support a safety assessment of our drug candidates before progression to the next phase of clinical development. You will be responsible for the scientific quality of reports and other documentation for submission to regulatory authorities in accordance with international guidelines. Qualifications You have a degree in life science combined with a solid understanding of biochemistry, physiology and pathology. You have some experience in experimental work and preferably an educational or professional background in toxicology. Ideally you have experience with drug development of pharmaceutical drug candidates. We will take care of any necessary additional training, coaching and education.
