We Offer Reporting to the crude desk team lead in the Global Energy Trading department in Maersk Oil, the purpose of this role is to organise oil and freight operations of crude oils and NGL export cargoes. A strong focus and dedication towards our stakeholders is required. Our new colleague, operating in a team of experienced traders and trading operators, will be exposed to an international and often hectic environment, working with international oil companies as well as Maersk Oil business units around the world. Some onsite visits involving international travel is required. Key Responsibilities The Trading Operator is a key person in Global Energy Trading - interfacing with the Maersk Oil producing business units, customers, partners, and the traders in Global Energy Trading. Your responsibilities will include: • Close communication with production units and partners creating crude oil off-take programmes from own operated assets on a monthly basis • Monitoring and managing the inventory of our own operated assets • Organising freight operations for cargo lifting from various assets around the world • Managing the shipping and document operation for various crude oils and LPG produced by Maersk Oil • Ensuring all relevant cargo and shipping information is kept updated in our trading management system • Assisting traders in optimising the value of our assets Who we are looking for We have preference for a person who has a few years of experience from the oil and/or shipping industry, either in a similar role or with experience from the production or shipping side. In addition, the person should: • Have a customer-focused, commercial and analytical mindset • Have a pro-active approach to problem solving • Be a strong team player • Be able to work under conditions which may be high stress/intensity from time to time • Preferably have a logistics and/or commercial academic background (at bachelor's degree level or equivalent) and/or relevant practical experience maerskoil.com Global Energy Trading is responsible for the marketing and trading of the various crude oils, LPG, and gas produced by Maersk Oil.
