Join our Operations Strategy department
As our new transition manager, you will join our Operations Strategy department with 8 experienced project managers, each responsible for their own project portfolios. We are an international team based at our HQ in Bjerringbro, Denmark, and in USA and China.
"We are responsible for our global make-or-buy decisions, i.e. choosing between manufacturing our products in-house or purchasing it from an external supplier. Our mission is to keep the right balance between producing ourselves and benefit from the right supplier base, and you will get a crucial role in this process," explains Sr. Director, Operations Strategy, Thore Bänsch.
Lead outsourcing activities within innovative pump solutions
Your main focus will be to lead and drive major business-critical outsourcing activities and projects related to the supply chain of our innovative pump solutions - from feasibility to implementation. Working in cross-functional project teams, you will collaborate with our Technical Department, Purchasing, Finance and the management group to maintain and develop the right balance in the make-or-buy matrix.
As our overall project responsible, you will:
- Drive major cross functional sourcing projects from feasibility studies to final implementation
- Be involved in operational footprint discussions as our make/buy expert
- Take part in and drive make/buy related discussions in relation to new product introductions
- Be a part of mapping the supplier base for potential outsourcing areas, and you select suppliers in cooperation with Purchasing
- Partake in supplier negotiations
- Partake in cost out activities with Purchasing and our technical department
- Be involved in resourcing activities related to exchanging suppliers, and with time, you might also be involved in business-critical insourcing activities
As we have offices all over Europe, we are flexible in terms of your base. However, the global function of your team will take you travelling 30-60 days a year.
Experience with major outsourcing projects
In order to lead highly business-critical projects, you are well organised and know how to deliver projects on time. You can create engagement with and challenge your project teams at all levels and locations, and you are used to work cross-functionally in international environments. Also, you love setting the direction, and you enjoy the freedom of shaping your own role.
You also bring:
- Extensive experience with major outsourcing projects in an international company
- A proven track record of implementing outsourcing projects
- A solid business understanding and insight into technical areas related to pump solutions, enabling you to negotiate with suppliers on a professional level
- Fluency in English
