Transport & Handling (T&H) is a part of Technology & Service Solutions (TSS), Vestas R&D organization. The department is accountable for developing and maintaining standard work processes and tools for Transport, Installation and Maintenance of wind turbines. Transport & Handling Processes is a part of Transport & Handling. The team is responsible for developing and illustrating processes and concepts related to transport, installation and maintenance of wind turbines. Responsibilities The work areas of the Technical Lead: Understand the business of lifting, transporting and handling of large components Understand the complexity of a wind turbine layout to enable the development of special tools needed for optimized handling of wind turbine components Manage the development of processes and tools through design or specifications to suppliers Work in close contact with HSE, R&D Engineers, Sales Business Unit Project Management, Commissioning Engineers and transport companies to develop new products and solutions Personal involvement in field testing of prototypes In relation to processes for new wind turbines: Technical leadership of a project including active project participation Secure technical requirements of the project are agreed on and met Prepare documentation for technical review (TR) meetings Present progress, concepts and risks to cross functional project team Secure deliverables for TR meetings Single point of contact for Project/T&H Drive detailed planning (Level C planning) Main contact to supplier/production Monitor scope deviations and deviations on project execution together with project PM Qualifications: At least 5 years of proven experience within installation, maintenance or other handling of wind turbines or other large components Educated Technical designer, Electrical engineer or Marine Engineer (or similar) Certification or training in project management An additional certification in Six Sigma or similar is an advantage Competencies: Experience in development of tools, processes or concepts for larger components in either wind or maritime industry or similar Knowledge about 3D-Modeling and Conceptual study experience FMEA and Risk assessment skills. Good communication and presentation skills in English, both written and verbal Knowledge about wind turbine technology and systems is preferred Knowledge about wind turbine service business is preferred Experience with project management or planning Capable of cooperating with colleagues in a professional and positive manner A proactive mindset and ability to keep an overview in stressed situations What we offer: We offer you an exciting and challenging job in a dynamic work environment.
