Technology & Service Solutions, Transport & Handeling. Transport & Handling is a sub-department within Technology & Service Solutions (TSS), Vestas R&D organization. The department is accountable for developing and maintaining standard work processes and tools for Transport, Installation and Maintenance of wind turbines. Transport & Handling Processes is a part of Transport & Handling. The team is overall responsible for standard work processes within Transport, Installation and Maintenance of wind turbines.In terms of Transport we secure that transport is taken into account when designing new products and optimize the transport process. We also develop and implement a standard work frame work for transportation of wind turbine components as well as providing direct support to our transport business. Responsibilities: As Specialist you are expected to be one of our internal transport experts. You will in close cooperation with our component designers define the needed transport processes and you will ensure that cost seen from an operational perspective is taken into account. In cooperation with our Technical Illustrators and Process Engineers you will ensure that the processes are documented in visual guides. Based on the processes you will define process requirements for transport tools in close cooperation with our tools designers. Your main responsibilities will be: Define standard work processes, standard work time and make P-FMEAs related to the work processes Lead and implement optimization of wind turbine transport and related work processes Define process requirements for transport tools Your primary day to day tasks will be to: Define and optimize standard work processes related to transport tasks Risk assess processes through P-FMEAs Implementation of process requirements for tools in close cooperation with our tools designers Support development of visual guides and documentation for work processes Participation in technical reviews as transport representative Provide business support to our transport business Qualifications: At least 5 years of proven experience within transport of wind turbine components or similar An education within engineering, transport and logistics or similar An additional certification in Six Sigma or similar is an advantage Competencies: High level knowledge about transport of wind turbine components or similar structures Experience with LEAN or Six Sigma Good general IT skills Experience with project management or planning Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal Proven ability to work independently and in teams, under pressure Capable of cooperating with colleagues in a professional and positive manner What we offer: We offer you an exciting and challenging job in a dynamic work environment.
