Would you like to be part of a truly global organization and work in the heart of treasury? We are looking for a talented Treasury Associate to join our treasury team. In Group Treasury, we are a team of 16 employees, where 12 are based in Copenhagen and 4 out in the world. We are responsible for managing all financial risks’ of FLSmidth (such as FX, funding, liquidity, payment risk, etc.), report and control Financial Items, support daily treasury operations, and be a driver for continued finance risk management improvements.

This role is a perfectly suited for the candidate, who has had some experiences with treasury, and who want to learn and develop within this area in a global setting.

Detailed Description

Key responsibilities

As a Treasury Associate you will have the following main responsibilities:

•        Daily treasury operational tasks, such as bank reconciliation and settlements.

•        Maintaining and developing our bank portals and our TMS (Treasury Management System).

•        Prepare and improve our FX exposure overviews, in close cooperation with senior members of Group Treasury and the global network of FLSmidth subsidiaries.

•        Support our improvement initiatives. We have started a big treasury improvement project, where many of our processes are being streamlined. You will be playing a key role in supporting this initiative.

•        Support the monthly financial reporting of Group Treasury books.

•        Prepare management presentations on treasury risks.

•        Prepare ad hoc-analysis and presentations

You will be working very closely with other Group Treasury team members and our finance managers around the world.

This is a unique opportunity to take your career into a treasury organization. FLSmidth is operating in more than 100 countries, which means there is never a boring day in Group Treasury. You will be exposed to a dynamic environment and experience many different challenges.

We do not expect you to know everything from day one, so this is also a chance for you to learn and develop within treasury. You can foresee up to 15-25 travel days per year.

 

Job Requirements

You hold a degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting at master's level and have 1-2 years’ experience with treasury.

You have solid analytical skills, and an ability to apply practical solutions to complexity. You have good execution skills and can to prioritize to get things done. You have very strong IT skills, and experience with TMS will be an advantage. You perform well, both on your own and in teams, and can handle many different tasks concurrently and deliver quality on time. You have a forthcoming and proactive attitude with good communication skills.
