Then you are the Engineer that we are looking for to join our Loads Simulation department. Technology and Service Solutions/Rotor, Tower & Control/Loads & Control/Loads Simulation Vestas Technology & Service Solutions is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved and tested. To put it short, we are shaping the future of modern energy and we operate on a global scale with more than 1,300 employees. As a part of Vestas Technology & Service Solutions, the Loads Simulation department is responsible for calculation of loads, power curves and noise to the individual platforms and products, load evaluations in early stage feasibility studies and technology development. Currently, the department consists of 15 highly skilled and motivated engineers situated in Denmark and India. Responsibilities: Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for: Load simulations using aero-elastic simulation tools for the development and optimization of new or existing turbines Supporting sales organization on technical subjects Ensuring turbine structural stability Verification of simulations models based on measurements on prototype turbines Power curve and noise calculations Development of tools and methodologies Qualifications You have: A M.Sc. within structural, civil or mechanical engineering Knowledge within dynamic simulation of mechanical systems Knowledge of design of structural components with respect to fatigue and extreme loads 0-5 years relevant experience within wind energy engineering or similar field Hands-on experience with product or technology development You might have: Experience with the tools Flex5, Bladed or HAWC2 Programming experience preferably Matlab Knowledge of control of mechanical systems Competencies: The successful candidate has a creative approach to new challenges, a natural flair for innovation and thrives with varied tasks and constant changes from day to day.
