Two postdoc positions in Computational Modeling of Polymers for Organic Solar Cells

The Center for Atomic-scale Materials Design (CAMD) at DTU Physics and the Section for Atomic Scale Modelling and Materials (ASC) at DTU Energy are looking for outstanding candidates for two 2-year post doc positions within the field of computational materials discovery. The positions are part of the newly funded program aiming at large-scale processing of polymer solar cells and will involve close collaboration experimentalists. Responsibilities and tasks The research main tasks include the development and/or benchmarking of computational methods for describing frontier energy levels and hole transport properties in polymers, as well as computational screening of large sets of candidate molecules defined in collaboration with synthetic chemists. The project will benefit from our local Linux supercomputer, which is ideally suited for large-scale computational studies. Qualifications The candidate should hold a PhD or equivalent degree in physics, chemistry or materials science. Candidates must have a strong background in computational chemistry. Previous experience with ab-initio simulation software is desirable.
