GN ReSound develops hearing instruments and accessories to increase quality of life for our customers living with a hearing loss. Hearing instruments today are becoming more and more complex as the connectivity opportunities increases. Early in 2014 GN Resound launched the first Made for iPhone enabled hearing instrument, accompanied by an iPhone app to control the hearing instrument directly from an iPhone. This exciting journey continues, and now we want to strengthen the mobile app development team with a passionate UX/ UI designer willing to make a difference for people with hearing loss. Your job, influence, challenge and fun You will be part of a dynamic team of UX Designers and SW developers responsible for creating our apps for iOS and Android devices. Based on user and market research you will develop UX concepts, fast prototypes, detailed UX/UI proposals and help clarify UX/UI specifications for our inhouse software developers. Thus, we expect that you will work closely with other UX designers, Product Managers, Audiologists and SW developers. Key responsibilities as UX/UI Designer • Be the end users voice when defining UX/UI proposals for our apps. • Create wireframes, site maps, use cases, business process flows • Prototyping, from Axure, Proto.io to the good oldfashioned pen and paper • Leading and participating in user research, concept testing and usability testing • Participate in feature development through collaboration with Product Marketing, Audiology and R&D on overall user requirements and functional requirements. • Develop and validate early UI concepts (Wireframes and UI flows) • Specify the user interaction to SW developers. • Be on top of trends “out there” with respect to mobile apps Who are you? GN Resound is looking for a highly committed person that is passionate about user experience, is prepared to argue the end user’s case, and takes pride in further development of this exiting UX discipline. Qualifications and experience • Master or bachelor degree within relevant areas • Experience in design for, and general interest in mobile apps • Expert in prototyping, like proto.io, axure or similar tools • Experience and strong capabilities in graphical design, familiar with Photoshop • Strong communication skills, both visually and verbally (person-to person, and in larger groups) • Excellent English language skills, in both speech and writing • Theoretical knowledge and experience within interaction design and user research • Creative and with a strong drive to seek information through research and analysis • Team oriented – sharing information and cooperating with the development team, cross-functional project team and other relevant stakeholders • Ability to plan and structure own work • Advantage to have worked with enterprise UX What we offer Working in GN Resound will give you an unique opportunity to work in a cross disciplinary team where you can make a difference; an exciting and challenging job in a global organization.
