We are looking for a Team Lead for IT Calypso Front Office team

Technically oriented IT team lead with good business understanding and experience from the financial industry. The position we offer The Calypso department in Nordea Capital Markets IT is responsible for developing and maintaining the Calypso system front to back. Calypso is a 3rd party system, which we have customized for Nordea business needs with the purpose of STP trade capture for Fixed Income products as well as full Back Office flow for FI and Equities in Nordea Capital Markets. The department consists of three teams: FO, BO and Projects. We currently have an open position as lead for the FO team. As lead you will be responsible for: •Managing the team (currently 7) people day to day Having a strong relationship with business stakeholders •Maintaining a rolling team roadmap •Driving smaller technically oriented projects and enhancements •Building and driving a strong agile culture •Driving the team towards Continuous Integration •Strengthening engineering practices. In particular automated testing and deployment •Being an active member of the Calypso management team •Maintaining a good collaboration with the vendor, Calypso. As lead you will be a driving part of a highly collaborative team working in a dynamic and growing business environment with high demands from our stakeholders. The qualifications you need We are looking for a person who is a creative, constructive and execution oriented. You enjoy working with people, building trust and you thrive with responsibility. You can inspire and lead by example. You must either possess or be able to quickly pick up domain knowledge from the front office side of capital markets – in particular for Fixed Income trading. A strong technology background – either as lead developer, IT architect or IT project manager is an advantage, and so is experience with agile methodology. Experience with Calypso is a strong advantage, but not a requirement. You are fluent in English. Mastering a Scandinavian language is an advantage, but not a requirement.
