Well Data Specialist handling geological and geophysical data Do you have proven data management skills and can you help us manage our well data? Join DONG Energy and become Well Data Specialist in our Data Management team which is responsible for data governance within set guidelines as well as general service and loading of data for the bulk part of our geoscience activities. The department is a part of Exploration & Production, which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious growth strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. As the department is represented in both Gentofte in Denmark, Stavanger and Tromsø in Norway and London in the United Kingdom, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Well Data Specialist, you will primarily function as data manager consultant, ensuring data integrity and data management through the entire life cycle. You will manipulate and transfer data between applications and improve and enforce data standards and good corporate data management practices. In addition, you will ensure regulatory compliance. You will also ensure well data loading as well as the availability of geological, geophysical and petrophysical data to the appropriate corporate and project data stores. You will implement new types of well data from other disciplines in the corporate databases and handle quality assurance of well data. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: . solve complex data quality issues . ensure the consistency of data in all related stores, and the relation between them by carefully managing metadata using unique identifiers and coordinates . manipulate data for loading to applications efficiently and accurately. Moreover, you will consult with the business regarding specific project deliverables as well as regarding changes in activity levels and planned responses. You will also negotiate workflow improvements and set or negotiate responsibilities for joint activities with your stakeholders. Your profile You have a degree in geosciences or a closely related discipline and some experience from a similar function. In addition, you will have proven data management skills and a solid hands-on background in the day-to-day geoscience project administration. We use Recall/OpenWorks as our corporate well data repository and Petrel as our main interpretation tool; therefore it is preferable that you have knowledge of and experience in the use of these systems. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently, and that you have good communication skills, enabling you to communicate confidently and efficiently with your internal and external stakeholders. You will have a proactive approach to your work and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
