Copenhagen Local/International Drilling Ref.: MO-049316 For more than 50 years Maersk Oil’s Danish Business Unit has built technological and organisational know-how in operation tight chalk fields under the tough and challenging conditions of the Danish North Sea. Examples of this are the management of wells, reservoirs and facilities to prolong lifetime of the fields and the development and use of horizontal wells to increase the recovery factor. The majority of the producing oil and gas fields in the Danish North Sea is operated by Maersk Oil in the partnership Danish Undergrounds Consortium (DUC) with Shell, Nordsøfonden and Chevron. We are on a journey to increase production and are now looking to recruit a Well Project Manager to help us support this goal. We Offer This role will give you a unique opportunity to take significant high level Maersk Oil drilling projects in the Danish Business Unit (DBU) from the planning stage to operations. It is a new role in the DBU, which will also give you an outstanding chance to influence the project and decisions as part of the leadership team in the Wells Department. Key Responsibilities As a Well Project Manager you will lead the well teams working on a category 1 or 2 project through assess, select, define and execute stages. In the planning phase you will normally have 2-3 drilling engineers reporting to you, while during execution you may have up to 10 direct and indirect reports. You will liaise closely with the project teams, subsurface department, production, facilities, drilling engineering experts and external regulatory bodies and partners. It will be your overall responsibility to conduct operations safely, on time and within budget and meeting the quality that is required. Who we are looking for You have a strong background in drilling engineering preferably based on a relevant BSc or MSc degree in engineering. Your drilling experience should be both planning and operational. Furthermore we expect your experience to stem from predominantly offshore operations. You have demonstrated dedication and adherence to safety throughout your career and today you should see HSE focus as a substantial part of your everyday work. You have experience in managing people either as a manager or as a supervisor and preferably from offshore drilling project work. As a person you have good communication and organisational skills proven by your ability to work with a wide range of disciplines.
