As the company’s ambitions for growth in renewable energy increases, the demand for procurement expertise in our continues to grows. We are thus looking to increase the size of our wind project procurement team with a Wind Project Procurement Manager - Onshore, location is flexible within Stockholm, London, Hamburg, Amsterdam or Kolding.   

We offer you a work in an outstanding  commercial and international environment with lots of opportunities for driving change and transforming the way Vattenfall conducts business.  As a Wind Project Procurement Manager you will have a significant impact on Vattenfall realizing its transition to a more sustainable energy portfolio by securing the necessary equipment and services at best value for the company. You will be engaging with the wind supply chain to define procurement strategies as well as identify novel market approaches to maximize the company’s profitability. You will work in an environment where you deal with executives internally and externally to drive value from Vattenfalls’ supply chain for the business.

As a Wind Project Procurement Manager,  you belong to the Wind Project Procurement team, and you will have a key role being responsible for Lead complex Wind Procurement initiatives in full alignment with the Business Area Wind objectives. You will also asked to identify new and/or implements suitable procurement approaches to deliver lowest Levelised Energy Cost.

Responsibilities
As a Wind  Project Procurement Manager you will be developing and implementing procurement strategies for major wind projects.  You will also be expected to engage with the supply chain to maintain the team’s deep understanding on specific parts of the market.
You will drive tendering activities including qualification, tendering, evaluation , negotiation and preparing contract award decisions for Wind projects, ensuring best value and compliance with the VF objectives and principles.

You will support contract management activities, direct involvement for large claims and variations resolutions. You are expected to challenge and coaching buyers in the respective projects as well as engage with the business at senior levels to ensure necessary level of co-operation and in addition, you will be involved in delivering on the identified focus initiatives within the Procurement Wind including Technical Consultant and Generation related activities.

Qualification
Our best candidate has a relevant University degree or equal, with a minimum of over 5 years of experience working on CAPEX procurement projects and 3 years  of experience working within Wind energy industry. We are looking for a person that has significant experience in driving business with large spend suppliers in an international environment, has knowledge of wind projects in at least one area of the supply chain (WTG, Foundation, Electrical) and has knowledge of project management processes. You also have experience of driving change towards lean processes and ensures adoption and improvement of defined standards. You have good negotiation experience on standards forms of contract (FIDIC, Logic, NEC). Your command of English is strong, both verbally and written.

As a person you are a strategic thinker, an effective communicator at senior level of the organization with superior interpersonal skills, proven commercial mindset and an excellent ability to build networks.  You are a team player who actively engages people by asking, sharing, helping or asking for help and you are pro-active, transparent,  performance and results oriented.  Sound communication skills and analytical skills is a must.

Location Flexible within Stockholm, London, Hamburg, Amsterdam or Kolding.  This position require significant amount of travel (50%+) in peak times.
