Vestas WTG Support Engineer WTG Engineering & Support EMEA North is a sub department of WTG Engineering & Support - Global, who is spread across the world supporting the Service departments, Construction departments and local Sales with technical knowledge and acting as the link between R&D and these local business units. WTG Engineering & Support EMEA North consists of 15 people all located in Videbaek, Denmark. The main areas of support are Mechanical (gearboxes, yaw, hydraulic, lubricants), Electrical (generator converter, control system), Software and Blades. The main tasks for the department includes: Providing direct phone support to service technicians in troubleshooting and repair, evaluating damage on main components, remote software upload, providing answers to technical questions internal and external, and taking part in customer meetings and seminars. Responsibilities: Remote Software upload project – Administrator for the project where turbine remote software upload are handled and executed by Engineering & Support. Answering ad-hoc requests and emails from Service technicians. Technical follow up on electrical related jobs with focus on turbine performance. Support the Service department in technical matters. Contact with Technology R&D in technical matters. Technical knowledge sharing with the rest of the group. Presenting technical matters at customer meetings. Writing technical customer reports. Daily contact with business units in relation to various technical questions. Qualifications: Solid technical education (engineer or similar), or shorter theoretical education as mechanic/electrician with long working experience in wind industry. High knowledge in electrical systems and Software. Knowledge of wind turbine electrical systems and Software preferred. Working experience from the wind industry preferred. Great advantage will be if you have good knowledge of the newest Vestas turbine fleet (V112-V126, V80-V100 & V90-3MW platforms). Competencies: Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
